By accessing or using the Journey Childhood Learning website and parent portal (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We provide childcare programs, enrollment, tuition and deposit processing, scheduling, communication, and related program administration for families and staff. Specific programs, hours, and pricing are described at the point of enrollment and in your enrollment agreement.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activity under your account. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and not to: attempt to gain unauthorized access; upload malicious code; interfere with the Service’s operation or security; impersonate another person; or use the Service to harass, harm, or violate the rights of others. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Tuition, enrollment deposits, and fees are due as presented at checkout and in your enrollment agreement. Card payments are processed by Stripe; by submitting a payment you authorize the applicable charge. We do not store full card numbers. Amounts, schedules, and any recurring tuition are disclosed before you pay. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Recurring payments. If you enroll in automatic recurring tuition, the amount, billing frequency, and timing are disclosed and you affirmatively consent before the first recurring charge. Recurring charges continue until you cancel, and you may cancel at any time by a method at least as easy as sign-up, as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Bank/ACH payments: ACH bank-debit is not currently applicable on this site; all electronic payments are made by card via Stripe. If ACH is offered in the future, separate bank-debit authorization terms will apply and be presented at the payment step.
Information about enrolled children and their families is collected solely to operate the program and is handled per our Privacy Policy, including the Children’s Information (COPPA) section.
Except as required by law and except for the childcare services expressly agreed in your enrollment agreement, the website and portal are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Journey Childhood Learning and its owner, staff, and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising out of your use of the website or portal. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Our aggregate liability arising from use of the website or portal will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Journey Childhood Learning operates as a child care program licensed and regulated by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Division of Early Childhood, Office of Child Care. Our current MSDE Office of Child Care license number is shown in the footer of every page. You can verify a Maryland child care license and view inspection records through Maryland’s public child care search at checkccmd.org.
Nondiscrimination. We admit children and provide care without discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, or disability.
Consent forms. Certain activities — such as photographing or recording your child, field trips, and administering medication — require your written consent. We provide the applicable consent forms for you to review and sign, and your signed forms are made available to you in your parent portal document library.
Concerns & complaints. Please raise any concern with us first. You also have the right to contact the MSDE Office of Child Care regarding a licensed child care program; Office of Child Care information and regional licensing contacts are available at earlychildhood.marylandpublicschools.org.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
